Casablanca, Morocco (April 22, 2022) The Al Akhawayn Alumni Association (AAA) recently conducted two virtual Brainstorming Workshops, creating an opportunity for its alumni across different time zones to unite, share ideas, and contribute to the enhancement of the alumni community. The workshops, held on April 19 and April 21, 2022, witnessed a significant participation, with attendees offering valuable feedback, recommendations, and ideas aimed at fostering a stronger and more cohesive alumni network.

The two Brainstorming Workshops were thoughtfully designed to accommodate alumni from various geographical regions, ensuring that voices from around the world were heard and considered. Participants from diverse backgrounds and experiences came together to discuss vital topics related to the growth and development of the alumni community.

Key themes that emerged from the workshops include:

1. Importance of Communication: Alumni stressed the importance of seamless communication and transparency. They emphasized the need for regular updates on the association's news, initiatives, events, and achievements to keep the community engaged and informed. A consensus was reached on enhancing the association's digital presence and employing various communication channels to create a more inclusive and connected network.

2. Alumni Chapters and Regional Engagement: Participants expressed a strong desire to establish alumni chapters in different regions and move away from repeatedly focusing on the same local Casablanca/Rabat axes. These geographical chapters would serve as local hubs, fostering a sense of belonging and providing opportunities for networking and collaboration. The workshops also highlighted the potential for hosting global events and further strengthening ties between alumni in different locations around the world.

3. Mentorship Opportunities: AAA alumni exhibited a keen interest in mentorship programs that would facilitate knowledge-sharing and career guidance among graduates. The association intends to bridge the gap between experienced professionals and aspiring minds, fostering a supportive environment for personal and professional growth.

4. Giving Back to Alma Mater: Participants underscored the significance of giving back to Al Akhawayn University, recognizing the pivotal role it played in shaping their lives and careers. Ideas were discussed to establish scholarship funds, support research initiatives, and contribute to the sustainable development of the Ifrane region.

The Al Akhawayn Alumni Association remains deeply grateful for the enthusiastic and constructive contributions from all workshop attendees. The insights garnered will serve as a foundation for further developments within the alumni community. The association is committed to transforming these ideas into actionable projects and initiatives, fostering a stronger sense of camaraderie among its esteemed members.
